Antique 1902 Carl Thieme Potschappel Dresden Figurines Aristocrat Gent & Lady. FLAW- woman's left hand (holding the dog) appear to have been broken and repaired and additionally the gentleman is missing part of his hand, has a chip on the inside of his coat and some dings along the crest of his hat. One set of only a few of these pieces that originated from Carl Thieme's factory in Potschappel. Carl died in 1888 and these two figurines are rare examples of the few pieces made during the period his son and law, Karl Kuntsch, stepped in to run the factory after Carl's death.

Even more, the color variation on the top of the base for this pair is especially varied and unique. Each figure measures approx 6.5 tall. We appreciate your visit to our store!
